Microneedling, or to use its professional term Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
What is it?
Collagen induction therapy, uses very small needles to create lots of micro-channels in the superficial layer of your skin.
As a direct response of causing this micro-trauma to the skin your body releases growth factors and cytokines which are stored in your blood. This triggers a healing process, within this process the body produces more collagen, which is a fibrous protein that enhances the structural integrity of the skin. As a result of collagen induction therapy your skin looks and feels thicker and more youthful.
Here at MPAesthetics we are not content with carrying out average treatments, we utilise sterile hyaluronic acid serum within this procedure to maximise results. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in your skin, and as we age the amount of this reduces.
